Most remarkable roles of Saif Ali Khan


Saif Ali Khan has had quite a Bollywood long journey. From a forgettable debut film like Parampara in 1992, the actor has totally nailed himself and given us memorable roles like that of Langda Tyagi in Omkara, Sameer in Dil Chahta Hai and Parineeta, to name a few. He also best known as the goofy, romantic dude, but he's forayed into edier cinema like (Omkara, Being Cyrus) as well. He now owns his own production company, Illuminati Films. Today we shall be telling you about some most remarkable roles of Saif Ali Khan.

Hum Saath Saath Hain(1999)

His career failed to pick up and after a string of flops, Saif was noticed in Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath HainThe actor played the role of the youngest of three brothers who is cheerful and loves to do things according to his own style. Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre and Tabu also part of the film.

Hum Tum(2004)

Released in 2004, 'Hum Tum' was an epic entertainment piece. Saif Ali Khan further added feathers to his hat as an actor in Hum Tum with Rani Mukerji paired opposite him. Saif once again was lauded for his performance and won National Film Award for Best Actor in 2005 for his role in this comedy drama. He played the role of a flirty and careless guy. His dialogues in the movie were really funny and the way he delivers it adding the naughtiness, creates magic. No other Bollywood actor could have pulled it off better.

Salaam Namaste(2005)

'Salaam Namaste' was a romantic musical comedy that portrayed a live- in relationship. Basically story was Amby (Preity Zinta) and Nick (Saif Ali Khan) fall in love and start living together. Everything is hunky dory until Amby gets pregnant. Saif's performance made the movie very watchable. His pairing with Preity Zinta was appreciated and the movie garnered rave review. The movie was one of the biggest hits of Bollywood in 2005.

Omkara(2006)

Langda Tyagi was a negative character in this hit film of Vishal Bharadwaj. Omkara movie based on Shakespeare's 'Othello'. The film won three National Awards, 13 Filmfare Awards and was showcased at Cannes 2006. Saif even won a Filmfare Award for Best Villain. But it was a flop at the Indian box office.

Race(2008)

Saif got over his soft look for the role in Race. The stubble, robust and smart businessman in Race is worth watching. Akshaye Khanna played Saif's brother in the film, which also starred Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy.
Love Aaj Kal(2009)

One of the bagged a double roles Saif Ali Khan essays in Imtiaz ali's Love Aaj Kal. He also produced Love Aaj Kal. Saif played the naughty guy next door in the movie. Saif was seen playing two roles, One modern lover Jai Vardhan Singh and second the younger version of yesteryear's lover Veer Singh (Rishi Kapoor). Feeble Punjabi accent not with standing, Saif is much earnest.

Go Goa Gone(2013)

Saif Ali Khan played the role of a Zombie hunter in the film. He was seen in a wacky blonde avatar for 'Go Goa Gone'. In this film,also starred Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta. Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Illuminati Films’ was the first production house to come up with a movie.
